(CercleFinance.com) – Orange Belgium announced on Friday evening that it had signed an agreement for the acquisition, from Nethys, of 75% less one share of VOO SA, transaction based on an enterprise value of 1.8 billion euros for 100% of the capital.
“Thanks to the acquisition of VOO, Orange Belgium will acquire a very high speed network in Wallonia and part of Brussels and, thus, will consolidate the deployment of its convergent strategy at national level”, explains the telecoms operator.
Orange offers Nethys the possibility of converting its remaining stake in VOO into Orange Belgium shares. Completion of the transaction is subject to customary conditions precedent, including the approval of the European Commission expected in 2022.
