PARIS, May 17 (Reuters) – Orange ORAN.PA announced on Tuesday that its former boss Stéphane Richard had waived an exceptional compensation of 475,000 euros gross for the year 2022 proposed by the group’s board of directors within the framework of the departure of the manager.
In a press release, the telecoms group indicated that Stéphane Richard, managing director until the beginning of last April and president until the next general meeting scheduled for next Thursday, had decided to waive this remuneration due to the “incomprehension of certain shareholders who consider that this allocation does not comply with the principles that must apply to the compensation of corporate officers and that this method should have been provided for and anticipated”.
