Order caused a surprise: Luxair now has its first Boeing 737 Max

Luxair caused a surprise at the Paris Air Show by ordering four Boeing 737 Max 7s. The first has now arrived at the airline.

The airline from Luxembourg caused a surprise at the Paris Air Show. Luxair ordered four Boeing 737 Max 7s, making it only the fourth airline to order the smallest Max variant.

In March, she first bought two Boeing 737 Max 8s on lease and ordered two more to buy. In April, she followed up by ordering two more 737 Max 8s.

The two leased 737 Max 8s arrive first – the first arrived in Luxembourg on Sunday (July 2nd). The machine with the registration number LX-LBL came from Ostrava in the Czech Republic and landed at Findel Airport. It is owned by British leasing company Pembroke and previously flew as EI-GGL for Air Italy.
