Ihe little girl with sad eyes must be 10 or 12 years old. She barely moves as she stares at the phone’s camera. When she moves, her gestures are slow and slow. The man filming the video sees it and exclaims, astonished.
” There is someone here ! There is someone here ! »
But there is no one around, only a leaden light and the silence of falling snow. They are somewhere in southeastern Turkey, an area that has just been devastated by two earthquakes of magnitude 7.8 and 7.5.
The man approaches the girl, whose body is pinned from the chest down by crumbling concrete. It is clear that they do not know each other.
” You are thirsty ? he asks.
– I’m cold, answers the girl. My brother is there too.
– Can you move?
– No”, replies weakly…
