Lhe Nanterre prosecutor’s office opened an investigation into the private group Orpea on Thursday, April 28, after a report from the government. The group is suspected of institutional abuse and embezzlement of public funds, the prosecution told Agence France-Presse (AFP). The government’s report was sent on March 28, following an administrative investigation carried out by the State.
The latter had revealed “serious dysfunctions” in the management of the group. The judicial inquiry opened by the prosecution is in addition to investigations already underway since February for “forgery and use of forgery, and violation of labor legislation by abusively resorting to fixed-term contracts”.
