Oti Mabuse, the younger sister of “Let’s Dance” star Motsi Mabuse, has announced that she is leaving “Strictly Come Dancing”.

Dancer Oti Mabuse (30) will drop out of “Strictly Come Dancing”, the British version of “Let’s Dance”. That announced the younger sister of Motsi Mabuse (40) in an interview with the British daily newspaper “The Telegraph”. “I love dancing and making a lot of people happy, but I think this year’s ‘Strictly’ will be the last,” said Oti Mabuse. You could “not dance forever”.

Oti Mabuse has been a professional dancer in the dance show “Strictly Come Dancing” since 2015. The last two seasons she emerged as the winner: In season 17, she danced in 2019 with “Emmerdale” star Kelvin Fletcher (37), a year later in season 18 with comedian Bill Bailey (56). Since 2019 she has also been rated by her own sister Motsi Mabuse, who is not only on the jury for “Let’s Dance”, but also for “Strictly Come Dancing”.

While the new season has already started in Germany, the 19th season in Great Britain will not be broadcast until autumn. It is not yet known with which celebrities the professional dancers will compete. In this country, eight stars are still in the running for “Let’s Dance”: Auma Obama (61), Jan Hofer (69), Nicolas Puschmann (30), Valentina Pahde (26), Lola Weippert (25), Rúrik Gíslason (33), Ilse DeLange (43) and Simon Zachenhuber (22).
