Oti Mabuse (31) will in future sit at the jury panel of the British TV show “Dancing On Ice”. According to British media reports, she takes a seat next to dancer Ashley Banjo (33) and figure skating stars Jayne Torvill (64) and Christopher Dean (63). The 31-year-old explained about her new job: “As a professional dancer, I have always had so much respect for the figure skaters from ‘Dancing On Ice’.”

Motsi Mabuse’s sister, 40, said she couldn’t wait to see the celebrities blossom when they learn to skate and challenge the professionals. “Having been on both sides of the table, I know a little bit about how you will feel. It’s more than an honor and I can’t wait to become part of the family.”

A star in Germany and England

Oti Mabuse, who moved from Germany to England a few years ago, has been a professional dancer in the British dance show “Strictly Come Dancing” for six years. There she is the only professional to date to have won the show two years in a row – first with actor Kelvin Fletcher (37) and last year with comedian Bill Bailey (56).

In 2015 Oti Mabuse also took part in the German counterpart “Let’s Dance”. She danced with singer Daniel Küblböck (1985-2018), the couple took sixth place at the time. Mabuse also appeared in the German version the following year. With presenter Niels Ruf (48), she left at the beginning of the show.

Oti Mabuse gained experience as a juror on the British edition of “The Masked Dancer” and on the show “The Greatest Dancer”. Her older sister Motsi is also known as a juror. Since 2011 she has been a member of the “Let’s Dance” jury. She was also a member of the jury for “Stepping Out” and “Das Supertalent”. Since 2019 Motsi Mabuse has been judging the performances in “Strictly Come Dancing”, where she met her sister again.
