The “OTTO – Live” tour has been canceled due to the corona pandemic. Entertainer Otto Waalkes speaks up on Instagram.

Bad news for all fans of Otto Waalkes (73): The entertainer has to cancel this year’s “OTTO – Live” tour. Waalkes announced this on Instagram. The 2021 concerts have already been postponed due to the corona pandemic. “I’d like to tell you so much more – but I don’t really want to cancel anything. Nevertheless, unfortunately we can’t do the tour this year, the publisher decided,” he writes about a video in which he serenades typical Otto with a guitar gives to the best.

“There are millions of halls and I sing and play in front of you all. I like to go on tour in the rain and snow. But unfortunately it’s not possible this year,” Waalkes sings among other things. The reason for the cancellation is the different corona requirements in Europe and in the individual federal states, which “do not guarantee planning security”. However, it is “indispensable” for “conducting a tour of this magnitude”, according to the comedian’s official website.

Tickets will be refunded

Waalkes also writes on Instagram that all fans can return their tickets to the appropriate sales outlets from next Monday (February 21), “then of course you’ll get your money back”. Finally, the 73-year-old announces: “We’ll see each other again when we can sing together again carefree.”
