Hervé Morin was the guest of Europe 1 this Thursday morning. At the microphone of Sonia Mabrouk, the president of the Normandy region considered that it was scandalous that the French education system reinforces inequalities. Support from Valérie Pécresse, he ensures that the candidate LR has a real project for the school.

Invited to Europe Matin on Thursday, the former Minister of Defense, Hervé Morin, castigated the theory of the great replacement, defended by Eric Zemmour. At the microphone of Sonia Mabrouk, he affirmed that it was not a reality and that the problem lay elsewhere, at school. “The question we are talking about is that of integration and assimilation. When you are in a country where the education system does not work, how do you want to successfully integrate populations with different cultures?” he. “We are talking about people who were born in our hospitals and who went to our schools”.

“Today, it’s tell me where you come from, tell me who your family is and I’ll tell you the school you will go to,” laments Hervé Morin. “It’s a scandal. In a country so attached to egalitarianism, we accept a system that reinforces inequalities”. For the president of the Normandy region, education must therefore be at the heart of the concerns of presidential candidates. “Valérie Pécresse, she has a real project for the school”, assures the former minister of Nicolas Sarkozy.

Hervé Morin acknowledged that this problem did not date from just five years ago. “It goes beyond the era of the quinquennium”, he underlined.
