“Farmer is looking for a wife” with the Ochsenknechts: “Our farm – with Cheyenne and Nino” gives friendly, calm insights into farming.

“Our farm” – break – “What’s next?” – “With Cheyenne and Nino”. Ironic and bumpy start Cheyenne Ochsenknecht (23) and her husband Nino Ochsenknecht-Sifkovits in the first episode of their new documentary soap. The offshoot of the successful reality format “Die Ochsenknechts” will run on Sky and Wow from November 22nd.

The series follows the youngest offspring of the actor clan to Dobl in Styria. Cheyenne has been living here with her husband Nino on Nino’s father Gerald’s Chianina farm since 2020. Before he returned to the family farm, Nino cut his teeth in Berlin, including as a DJ. This is also where he met Cheyenne. “We want to raise our children here,” she says about her new home.

The young Ochsenknechts already have two children, Mavie, who was born in 2021, and Matteo, who was born in 2023. During filming, Cheyenne was still pregnant with baby number 2. That didn’t stop her from working on the farm. “Many people see me with my nails and eyelashes and think I’m not much of a farmer,” says the city planter. But she already knows the agricultural terminology. Even grumpy stepfather Gerald seems to have accepted her as a worker.

“Make agriculture cooler and hipper”

Viewers see Nino and Cheyenne mucking out, doing “sheep wrestling,” visiting a hipster farmer with robot workers, and planning a new high-tech stable. The cattle are supposed to clean up their own manure – or something like that. The first conflicts are not only emerging here with Nino’s father, who relies on traditional farming. TikTok is also part of the work of the young farmers. “Making agriculture cooler and hipper” is a declared goal of the Ochsenknechts and the series.

Likeable “farmer is looking for a wife” mix

“Our Farm – with Cheyenne and Nino” seems a bit like a special from “Bauer sucht Frau” – including the usual jokes about what is a man’s and what a woman’s thing. However, without any forced drama. The friendly documentary also contains explicit images of an artificial insemination of a cow and a rustic rectal examination a few months later. As a mother, she can sympathize, Cheyenne jokes. “Just thank God I don’t get a hand in the ass.”

The next episode is no longer just about calving. Cheyenne Ochsenknecht gives birth to her child. As the preview shows, complications arise. Fortunately, we know that everything turned out well. In the next episode, mother Natascha Ochsenknecht (59) stops by.

The four episodes of “Our Farm – with Cheyenne and Nino” will be shown on Sky Nature every Wednesday at 8:15 p.m. from November 22nd. At the same time, the show is available on demand on Sky and the in-house streaming service Wow.
