“Out of loyalty to France”: Frédéric Taddeï announces that he is stopping the presentation of “Forbidden to forbid” on the Russian channel RT

The former host of “D’art d’art” and “Tonight or never” Frédéric Taddeï said on Tuesday that he was leaving the presentation of his show on the Russian channel RT “out of loyalty to France”.

Invited this February 22 from “Buzz TV”, the journalist announced his decision to leave the magazine he had embodied since 2018 from Monday to Thursday at 7 p.m. on RT France, the continuous news channel financed by Russia. He will host the last issue this Tuesday, February 22.

“The international situation being what it is, I decided this morning to stop hosting ‘Forbidden to Forbid’. Out of loyalty to France, I cannot continue a contradictory debate program from the moment when my country finds itself in open conflict with Russia”, estimates the journalist who refers to the diplomatic crisis between Paris and Moscow linked to the context conflict in Ukraine.

Frédéric Taddeï specifies however that he is not leaving RT France for the moment. “Xenia Fedorova, the president of the channel, asked me not to take too hasty a decision”, he explains, still at the microphone of “Buzz TV”.
