A wedding is expensive. No question. Especially when it comes to the outfit, a lack of budget can shatter the dream of a fairytale wedding. You can read here what you can definitely save when buying an outfit because you are guaranteed to have it in your closet.

Very few of us have a classic wedding dress hanging in our closet. But especially for those who are a bit more flexible with the bridal outfit, there are a few ways to create a beautiful look without having to buy all the pieces again.

1. Don’t buy new bridal shoes!

Those of us who have already dealt intensively with the topic of bridal shoes can perhaps confirm the following thesis: There are no bridal shoes that are stylish AND comfortable. Theoretically, they don’t have to look pretty either, because most of the time they are hidden by the wedding dress anyway. Hence our tip: Take a look to see which pumps or sandals you have in your shoe closet that fit well. Of course, the color of the shoes should match your look, but who says that bridal shoes always have to be white? How about, for example, your light blue pumps or sandals that you may have in the closet? So you not only saved money, but also found your “Something Blue” piece straight away.

2. Trick with the accessories

The bridal hairstyle is ready and you are still looking for a nice clip? A look into your jewelry box can provide an unexpected surprise. Look out for a pretty brooch or sparkling pendant. These parts can be attached to a simple hair clip – with a little finesse and some hot glue. Your hair ornament is ready, which will certainly not have a second one.

3. All-round talents: pleated and tulle skirts

Long, with an elfin cut and a beautiful texture: pleated and tulle skirts are not used in bridal looks of any kind for nothing. However, since they can also be perfectly integrated into everyday wardrobes, they can already be found in some wardrobes. In yours too? Maybe a beautiful bridal look can be created from it.

Crop tops with lace in particular make the look solemn. Some tulle skirts can also be dyed. However, you should note that most tulle skirts are made of a synthetic fiber. These do not dye as well as the natural fibers of cotton or silk. Nevertheless, synthetic fibers also absorb color particles – but not as intensively.

4. A white blazer

One piece that many of us already have in our closet is the white blazer. This is perfect for business looks AND can also be integrated into a bridal outfit. Especially in combination with a pleated skirt, a mini dress or a white jumpsuit, it is often the icing on the cake – and incidentally also protects in cooler temperatures. If you want to give your blazer that extra something, you can decorate the fabric on the shoulders and sleeves with beads, for example.
