Over a million accounts banned in fight against Lost Ark bots

You must have come across some during your gaming sessions on Lost Ark, bots are present from all over the game, among the many problems it has experienced. Many accounts, on all servers, continue to spam messages in the chat, offering the sale of resources for real money. This scourge, which has already affected many MMOs, such as World of Warcraft, is a major issue for Amazon’s game and the game’s teams have decided to take action. After hard work, these are over a million accounts detected as bots by the new tools and methods that have been banned from the game.

The news came in a statement on the game’s official forum, with the team also confident that it’s possible that some accounts of real players are also victims of false bans. Although the teams are doing everything to prevent this from happening, they still ask the players if this is the case to appeal. For this, they will have to file a request on the support of Lost Ark.

“To keep a fun and fair gaming experience for our players is one of our top priorities. While we intend to make a massive impact with this wave of bans, we know that there is still work to be done and we want players to know that this is just one step in which will be an active and continuous process.“

In the future, Lost Ark will therefore continue improve its detection methods as well as ban the bots that will be detected. The teams intend to expand their anti-cheat toolset so as not to remove only bots but also cheaters and toxic players within the game.
