The 62-year-old Tyrolean went on a ski tour to the Hinteres Sonnwendjoch with two friends. After they had reached the summit, the men decided to descend via the snow-covered forest path of the Wildenkaralm. Driving mistakes with fatal consequences At an altitude of 1294 meters it happened: “The 62-year-old ski tourer fell in a right-hand bend due to a driving error, he went over the edge of the path and then fell about 15 meters over steep, rocky terrain,” the police reported. After first aid, the man was rescued with a rope and flown to the Kufstein district hospital.
