Dangerous situation on Monday afternoon on Andechsstrasse in Innsbruck: The driver of a small truck ran over a 70-year-old on his e-scooter while pulling out of a parking space. The man was taken to the clinic.
The driver of the small truck, a 20-year-old Turkish man, wanted to turn out of a driveway onto the street at around 2:40 p.m. on Monday. The driver of a second truck stopped and let the 20-year-old have the right of way. When he then drove off in his small truck, the local man drove up on his e-scooter in the bicycle lane. He was traveling in the opposite direction – which may be why the truck driver didn’t see him. The small truck hit the 70-year-old and rolled over his thighs. Nevertheless, according to police, the 70-year-old was able to get up himself. After initial treatment, he was admitted to the Innsbruck clinic.
