Overwatch 2: A Lucio skin is visible through the walls

Overwatch 2 accumulates disappointments with regard to the problems on the FPS. The latest is on the support character, lucioand this one more precisely affects one of its skins, giving a decisive handicap if you use it. The affected model is the skin polar fox, released in 2018 on the original game. The skin was not a problem on the first version of the game, but it seems that its passage on the second opus did not succeed.

The problem is not the least, since as mentioned above, it allows enemies to spot you through walls when the skin is equipped. To be more precise, it’s the visual effects that betray your position in the scenery. This version of Lucio’s weapon projects bluish smoke from 3 points, an aesthetic addition that is noticeable through in-game textures.

Enemy detection has been around in other forms in Overwatch since the beginning, but it’s about skills, even ultimates which obey classic rules of cooldown or charge.

However, this problem only affects one skin and does not in any way affect the playability of Lucio as a whole.. But it still adds to the long list of more serious issues which have notably seen heroes temporarily removed from the game like Torbjorn or Bastion. The issues on these characters had made them far too strong, especially when using their ultimates, creating one-sided games.

Let’s hope that Blizzard is reactive by quickly correcting the problem. In the meantime, Overwatch 2 remains available free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series and Nintendo Switch. You can always consult the tier list of the best characters to see the current strengths and weaknesses.
