Overwatch 2 may not have its single player mode yet but what the game offers for sure, these are the bugs ! Just a few days after returning from Bastion which had been returned unplayable almost instantly it’s another character who joined the not very closed club last night characters so buggy that they have to be removed from the game.

Last night Blizzard Craig shared in a forum post that Mei should be disabled due to a bug severe of the character. For a few days some players have been taking advantage ofan ice wall bug of Mei allowing them to reach points normally inaccessible during their games, including ranked. We can wonder what impact this bug really had on the balance when we take into account the range of the character. None the less remains bug abuse and Blizzard took the opportunity to remind that anyone caught exploiting a bug could be punished.

Here is Blizzard’s official post about Mei’s deactivation and possible return date:
“We are temporarily disabling Mei to address an issue with her Ice Wall ability that allowed heroes to reach unintended locations when used with their abilities. We are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible and intend to bring Mei back in our next patch, due November 15th. Thank you for your understanding and your patience.”
It is therefore possible that Mei will return within two weeks, Blizzard reserves the right to take more time, however, we may have to wait a while before seeing the ice machine again.
