Overwatch 2 will soon welcome the Season 10, Blizzard will obviously take advantage of the event to introduce new features, including a Hero unpublished. The studio presents today Venture40th character of the FPS competitive free-to-playwhich will be a Hero Of type Damage.

But above all, Blizzard announces that the Heroes stuck behind the Battle Passit is now finished ! Until now, you had to buy the Pass paying or climb many levels to get a new Hero, putting aside casual players who didn’t have time for it. It’s now ancient history, new Hero Venture will be accessible to all players upon its arrival with the Season 10. Blizzard explains all of this to us, also taking stock of the other new features:

Starting in Season 10, you will immediately unlock all new heroes when they are released. All existing heroes and heroines will also be unlocked. This means that you will no longer need to unlock characters in the battle pass in order to play them in all game modes.

Those arriving at the game for the first time will still have to complete the introductory course for new accounts in order to unlock the heroes and heroines while learning to play. Once the original Overwatch characters are unlocked, all Overwatch 2 characters will also be made available.

At last year’s BlizzCon, we gave you a sneak peek at our 40th character, Venture, showing off his unique underground mechanics and daring, adventurous spirit. We’re excited to announce that everyone will be able to play Venture directly when they officially join Overwatch 2 in Season 10.

  • Mythic Skin Changes

We want to give you more control over how to earn Mythic Skins. Starting in Season 10, we will be offering changes to the way you earn, improve and unlock Mythic models in a dedicated store.

The Mythic Shop will allow you to progress towards obtaining past and present Mythic models at the same time as you complete the Premium Battle Pass. You will be able to decide how far you want to improve your legendary model. For example, if you don’t want to unlock all the colors or variations of a model, you can use your progress on other legendary models.

You will also find old legendary skins there to give you a chance to obtain those that caught your eye. The legendary model of the current season will be available two seasons after its release. This means that the legendary models from seasons 1 to 7 will be available from season 10.

We’ll share more information on the Mythic Store and additional changes to the Premium Battle Pass as we get closer to Season 10.

Starting in Season 10, you’ll earn coins on the free and premium tracks of the battle pass, to make them easier to earn and give you a more consistent source of currency. We are also increasing the number of free coins available per season from 540 to 600.

Weekly Challenges will be more flexible to suit your playstyle and will now grant you Battle Pass EXP.
