An exceptional match, obviously at a very high level, and above all very close, won 4 to 3 by a team of Dallas Fuel solid, which shone thanks to Edison (sojourn), Sp9rk1e (reaper), Fearless (Winston), Fielder (Kiriko) and Chiyo (lucio). A title that they will have totally deserved by dominating the competition throughout this 2022 season, Fearless wins the title of MVP of this daunting finale.
The evening was an opportunity to discover the MVP of the 2022 seasonOWLin the person of Properspecialist in sojourn at the SF-Shock and who wins the title of best DPS of the season as well as the price Alarm of the best rookie of the year. Shortly before, it’s hadi of the London Spitfire who received the Dennis Hawelka Award rewarding the player with the most positive attitude, while the coach of the English team ChrisTFer was awarded the prize for the best coach of the year. A little word about the French team Paris Eternalwhich will disappear : European players have been let go in recent months, replaced by young American hopefuls, and the team will be called Vegas Eternal from 2023. A real disappointment for all the fans, especially since Paris only won one game this season. A tumble on which came back the casters during’a watch point summing up all of this year’s competition.
This fifth season of theOverwatch League 2022 has seen quite a few small upheavals, with a competition taking place on Overwatch 2accessible to all free-to-play for only a month. A new game mode, Advancedand an meta which has continued to evolve over the updates, with a Queen of the Junkers already replaced by Winstonbut sojourn and Kiriko have established themselves as heroines essential to win. A meta which could change next month with the arrival of a new Hero.
Eh yes, Blizzard took advantage of these Grand Finals to unveil Ramattra36th Hero from Overwatch 2. As expected, it will be a Tanka Omniac near Zenyatta which should advance the lore. We were simply treated to a short video revealing its origins, Ramattra is the leader of Sector Zero ready to do anything to help Omniacs. Side gameplaywe will have to wait to discover in detail the capabilities of the Herobut we already had a small teasing : Ramattra will be able sport a form ofOmniac to do small damage from a distance with his stick or take the form of Nemesis to perform piercing punches more offensively. No shield here, the watchword is always the same for Overwatch 2 : a gameplay more nervous and fit in. It won’t take long to embody Ramattra, the 36th Hero of OW2 will be added during the Season 2which will begin on December 6. Players will also be able to discover a balance update for several characters, the Kitsune Rush of Kiriko should take a hit, but to regain Ramattrait will be necessary to advance in the battle pass of this second season…
L’Overwatch League 2022so it’s over, Blizzard already gives us an appointment for a sixth year of competition in 2023, but the studio has not detailed its plans at this time. Fingers crossed to find the cast French next year: HammerKick, SuriPlay, Adyboo, Shaytwan, Itaah, Zaroid, Albless and feewithout forgetting Shookapik and Nakredor at the control room, which made us vibrate during these intense weekends, until playoffs sometimes going until daybreak.
