Overwatch 2: You can be kicked or banned. On the loading screen

When a player finds himself temporarily banned from the competitive mode ofOverwatch 2 for inactivity, most players could say to themselves “so much the better” or “well deserved”. Such behavior, in a mode where the ranking of your teammates is as much at stake as yours, these measures are necessary, at least .. when they are well applied.

Banned for taking too long to load

When one could believe in a reporting lonely, one singular bug or even a simple mistake, the community always proves to us that in the end, it is real. Indeed, while a player reported having been temporarily banned next to a loading screen too long, it’s a whole battalion of answers claiming to have also been a victim of the concern that happened in the answers. I myself experienced the situation while playing with a friend, his loading screen which was a little too long earned him a red banner meaning that without movement on his part in the next few seconds, he would be kick of the game. Without ever having joined it in the end.

The bug is not disabling enough like that, it can of course occur during a match in ranked mode and therefore be even more punitive, for you but especially your teammates. This kind of “bug” if we can call this design flaw like that is even more problematic when it does not come on its own, it is another type of concern of the same kind, but worse, that players have shared.

The server crashes, are you banned?

Many gamers have also fallen prey to another game design concern: you may be banned (at least 15 minutes) after a Connexion error to the server, even if the problem comes from Blizzard and not from you. In a game where matchmaking is already extremely criticized by the community, issues like these could quickly damage player morale and add to the many existing issues.

The ridiculous prices of Overwatch 2 skins keep getting talked about and it seems that one player even found a solution to get them faster by playing another game.
