They are helped in this by automated and standardized methods on a large scale via the native Terraform support made possible by OpenStack and its Infrastructure-as-Code approach. What’s more, Metal Instances are billed by the hour of use, allowing customers to only pay for the computing capacities actually consumed.
With Metal Instances customers get complete hardware control and full access to CPU resources as expected from the precursor to Bare Metal. Running 100% on dedicated servers, Metal Instances support on-demand deployment via the standard OpenStack API, benefit from cloud automation capabilities and can be integrated into the full Public Cloud ecosystem of services.
