Spanish footballer Pablo Mari was injured in a knife attack in Milan. He was injured in the upper body.

Dramatic news from the northern Italian city of Milan: In a knife attack on several people, the Spanish soccer star Pablo Mari (29) was stabbed on Thursday in the Milanofiori di Assago shopping center. According to the newspaper “La Repubblica” the defender of Serie A club AC Monza was taken to a clinic by helicopter. Accordingly, Mari was conscious.

A 46-year-old Italian was arrested by the police as a suspected perpetrator. The urgent suspect is said to have injured at least six people with a knife from a supermarket. Four of the injured are in serious condition, a cashier died on the way to the hospital. Mari is said to have been injured in the upper body, but is not in a life-threatening condition.

Mari is currently on loan to Italy from Premier League side Arsenal FC. Arsenal coach and compatriot Mikel Arteta (40) said on the sidelines of his team’s Europa League game in Eindhoven that there was contact with Mari’s relatives. He’s fine.
