Pakistani Prime Minister Khan is ousted by a vote of no confidence in parliament.

Opposition parties were able to secure 174 votes out of the 342 members of the House in favor of the motion of no confidence, the Speaker of the House said, making it a majority vote. Only a few lawmakers from Khan’s ruling party were present for the process.

The vote means Khan will no longer be in office and the country’s lower house will now read a new prime minister and government.
