The tragedy occurred near Bethlehem, in the southern West Bank, in a context of escalation in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
A 15-year-old Palestinian man was killed on Friday (May 27th) by the Israeli army near Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry said.
Mohammed Ghouneim, seriously injured by bullets in the back and neck, died in hospital, the ministry said in a statement. Contacted by AFP, the Israeli army said it could not comment immediately on the ministry’s assertions.
