Ports to other platforms are even being considered, but in the meantime, the community now has access to v0.2.0.6, at least on the platform Valvebecause we will have to wait until it is ready on Xbox…And the latter brings a lot of new features with as promised the first Raid adventure facing Bellanoirwhich a short video had highlighted. The studio is already scheduled for summer 2024 for an update even richer in content with a new island, Palsnew weapons and buildings, as well as tower bosses.
Below you will find the translation of the long changelog communicated by Pocketpair. Note thata bug was detected following the addition of this patch, preventing eggs from being placed in the incubator. If this happens to you, you will have to rebuild it.
New content
- Implementation of the first Raid Boss:
- You can summon Raid Boss Pals using blocks on the new Summoning Altar;
- Raid Boss Pals summoned by blocks are very powerful and cannot be captured. Work alongside your rank-and-file Pals to take on these powerful enemies;
- Pals Eggs can be obtained after defeating Raid Boss Pals;
- The “extreme” version of the Raid Boss is incredibly powerful and difficult to defeat.
- New “Training Manual” items have been added. These manuals allow you to give experience points to your Pals.
- A new item “Ancient Technical Manual” has been added. This manual gives you ancient tech points and can be found randomly in chests in dungeons.
- New “Recovery Meds” items have been added. Using these medications will slowly restore your HP over time.
- A new “Homeward Thundercloud” object has been added. When used, it will instantly transport you to the nearest base.
- A new item “Ability Glasses” has been added. Once equipped, you can see the Pals’ stats.
- New stat boost items have been added: “Power Fruit, Life Fruit, Stout Fruit”. These items will increase Pal’s stats when used.
- Added a new passive skill “Mercy Hit”. Pals with this passive cannot reduce the enemy’s HP below 1 when attacking.
- A new item “Ring of Mercy” has been added. While wearing this ring, you cannot reduce the enemy’s HP below 1 when attacking.
- A new “Multiclimate Undershirt” armor has been added. Protect yourself from both heat and cold with just one location!
- A new “Electric Egg Incubator” building has been added. This incubator uses electricity to automatically adjust the temperature to the optimal one for each egg.
- A new “Ore Mining Site” building has been added. This mining site allows you to produce ores from the comfort of your base!
Pals
- Kelpsea can now produce Pal Fluids at the ranch.
- Dumud can now produce high quality Pal Oil at the ranch.
- You can now reduce the weight of metal ores when riding Surfent Terra.
- Increased the amount of ore obtained while riding Astegon.
- You can now increase the rank of Pals to the maximum with a single synthesis using the “Pal Essence Condenser”. (Condensation progress is now accumulated in each Pal.)
- Negative Pal status will now be resolved after spending time in the Pal Box.
User interface
- When aiming with a sphere, the number of Pals of the targeted type that have already been captured will be displayed.
- You can now view Partner Skill cooldowns for all your Pals on the main screen.
- Equipment and item stats are now visible on the Technologies screen, even if you haven’t unlocked them first.
- The tutorial has been improved and renamed “Journey”.
- You can now show/hide “Journey” in the game options.
- The damage number display size can be changed in the game options. (In Raid Boss fights, the damage numbers tend to overlap a lot and this can be difficult to see, so we recommend that you ‘adjust the size.)
Player
- Items dropped by players after dying on a dedicated server can now be picked up by anyone after 24 hours of real time.
- Added a new sleeping player emote (changed).
Base
- You can now authorize/deny certain jobs for Base Pals at the Watch Station.
- Chest filters have been added. Select the types of objects to allow or prohibit inside the chests.
- Crafted items are now transported from manufacturing facilities. By selecting “Allow Transport” during crafting, Pals will transport these items to chests upon completion.
- You can now change your character’s appearance at any time using the “Antique Dresser”.
- The rules for placing buildings and construction pieces have been relaxed:
- You can now connect upward-facing stairs;
- Roof pieces can now connect directly to the foundation;
- Triangular walls can now be connected to stairs.
- You can now force a Pal to work and unpause it by picking it up and throwing it towards a facility. (Pals recover their health by taking a break, so be careful!)
- Fixed assignments remain fixed, even after bad events. Previously, some changed due to special conditions, but will now remain fixed unless the Pal is placed in the Pal Box.
Balancing
- Added minimal heat and cold resistance to various armors. You will no longer need to take off your heat resistant armor when it gets cold at night in the starting zones!
- Reduce the time of pressing the egg incubator button.
- Change the pattern of Jormuntide Ignis to something more unique.
- Added legendary blueprints for certain guns (obtained from specific enemies).
- Fixed the sale price of diamonds.
- In single player mode, it is no longer possible to select the initial spawn point for multiplayer.
- The back of the starting area has been blocked off with rocks to prevent players from getting lost or stuck.
- The increased attack power multiplier of partner skills that increase the player’s attack power on a mount has been uniformly reduced from 2 to 1.2.
- Eggs now have a small chance of producing Alpha Pals.
- Flying and floating Pals are now immune to falling damage.
- Shop price adjustments.
Bug fixes
- Fixed a bug where treasure chests would become empty when dying in a dungeon, etc.
- Fixed an issue where the effect that increased the player’s attack power on a mount would duplicate and stack under certain conditions.
- Fixed an issue where players were not receiving loot when capturing Pals while on a mount.
- Adjusted the HP of Legendary Pals and fixed an issue where the difference in HP between a captured Legendary Pal and an elevated one was too great.
- Fixed an issue where the Pal would eat while being ridden.
- Fixed an issue where spheres thrown near Wild Pals would not hit and be lost.
Others
- Improved various Pals models and textures.

- Fixed an issue where sorting did not work in the server list.

By the way, the studio announced the dating sim Pal♡world! ~More Than Just Pals~ April 1st as a joke.
