How the pricing table works
During the presentation of its Lumix GH6 video-oriented hybrid, Panasonic had gone all out to seduce videographers. However, among the long list of video features, some will only arrive after an update. The latter will be downloadable for free on July 5, 2022 and will unlock several functions.
5.8K Raw externally
It will be possible to capture footage in raw via the HDMI output and an external Atomos Ninja V recorder. The user will then gain Apple ProRAW recording in 5.8K and 30p, as well as in 4K DCI and 120p. Something to delight those who want to refine their sequences in slow motion as much as possible. For grading enthusiasts, a LUT exclusively designed for these raw videos is also available on a specific site.
In addition to recording Raw video files externally, the 2.0 update will give the GH6 the ability to capture 4K DCI (and FHD) video in ProRes (normal and HQ) and 4:2:2 10-bit up to at 60 fps, all internally.
