Last year, Game Freak announced a partnership with Private Division for the development of Project Bloomaction-adventure game planned for fiscal year 2026 Take Two. In January a brand for a certain “Pand Land”, as many people call it, surfaced and we could wonder if the two were related. This absolutely will not be the case. To begin with, and it was visible on the logo, the game is called PANDOLAND in the Latin alphabet, contrary to what may be circulating. Just go to the official account Twitter / X to have proof. Afterwards, this license may well have been designed by Game Freakits development and edition was entrusted to WonderPlanet Inc. since it is… a Free-to-play RPG for Android and iOS devices. Clearly, this will have the effect of a cold shower for many players. Moreover, PANDOLAND will be launched on Monday June 24 in the Archipelago and Japanese players can already pre-register on Google Play And L’App Store.
The trailer released and the Japanese press release inform us that PANDOLAND is a role-playing game in the form of a casual maritime adventure with an aesthetic reminiscent of Pokémon Quest with its voxels, a game that was quickly abandoned except in China. The players will therefore leave explore unknown lands covered by clouds and unearth treasures, the themes of discovery and sharing being central. Clashes in particular using creatures will also be present, nothing surprising with Game Freak, as well as a whole multiplayer dimension. Over 400 allies and treasures will be included, adding a whole dimension of collecting.
In short, unless there is a Western release in the future, PANDOLAND should not mark our minds more than that. Switch games Pokémon Scarlet and Purple are they still on sale on Amazon from €44.16.
