Papis Loveday had to leave the jungle camp after 16 days. In an interview, he talks about his experiences and who he begrudges the crown to.

Model Papis Loveday (46) had to do the reality TV show “I’m a star – get me out of here!” (at RTL and RTL+) left after 16 days. In an interview with spot on news, he talks about his best and worst experiences in the Australian jungle camp. He also reveals who he would put the jungle crown on – but he still bets on another winner.

Welcome back to real life!

Papis Loveday: I wouldn’t call it real life, but: freedom! (laughs)

Despite all the hardships, what was the most beautiful thing you will remember?

Loveday: The best part was getting to know new people, talking to them, comparing their life stories with mine. What I will also take with me is the good feeling that these people gave me: my values are correct and I should stay the way I am. That made me very proud.

What was the worst?

Loveday: At a certain point you reach your physical limits. One is tired. From the tenth day you fight every day. That was the worst. At the same time, the climax of this experiment is reached when you realize: Wow, now I have to go beyond my limits. I fought with myself, overcame myself and made it through 16 days. I’ll take that with me.

They got little to eat in the jungle camp. How much weight have you lost?

Loveday: Yes, that was little. And I know how to eat little because I’m on a diet for my modeling job. I weighed myself when I went to the jungle camp: 73 kilos. When I came out I was 150 pounds. I’ve lost five kilos and maybe five kilos on me can be compared to ten kilos on another person. But I’m sure that with good food, sleep and training I’ll quickly regain those five kilos back in Germany.

What was the first thing you ate at the Versace Hotel?

Loveday: First of all, I actually took a shower and then just raided that minibar of drinks and snacks in my hotel room. There was orange juice and peanuts – with salt! I devoured this pack in no time – the salt was so good. How often do you complain in a restaurant that something is too salty. But if you have to live without it for 16 days, even a few grains are just heavenly.

Who are you giving the crown to and who will get it?

Loveday: I’m giving Gigi the jungle crown because it’s the first time he’s opened his heart and spoken about his family on TV. Showing emotion is not a weakness. And the jungle crown could give him confirmation that it’s okay to show feelings, which he finds very difficult. But at the end of the day, I believe that Djamila will become the new jungle queen.
