PARAMOUNT+: Knuckles, release date and tasty trailer for the spin-off series of the Sonic films

News surrounding the mascot of SEGA has something to delight fans, whether in a video game or in an adaptation live-action. Indeed, the publisher recently announced Sonic x Shadow GenerationsA remaster with new content which will be timely since on the big screen, we will be able to discover at the end of the year Sonic 3, the moviewhere the Ultimate life form will be eminently present. Last week, we were treated to a preview of its final logo and learned of Jim Carrey’s return to casting since good old Robotnik will obviously be around. But before discovering this third part in the cinema, it will be possible to watch the series Knuckles, which was announced almost two years ago. Filming began last spring and we won’t have to wait long before we see her again. on Paramount+as evidenced by its very first trailer revealing the broadcast date.

There is no shortage of touches of humor in this very promising overviewnotably thanks to the gap between the ultra serious personality of Knuckles (Idris Elba) having to adapt to his new life with Wade Whipple (Adam Pally) and the world around him. Sonic (Ben Schwartz) and Tails (Colleen O’Shaughnessey) will obviously be present during a few scenes, but should not steal the show from the echidna. Between the scene where he transformed the living room into an arena, the training of Wade and the final scene where he leaves the latter to fend for himself in addition to gulping down a pot of coffee like a Detective Pikachudifficult to remain unmoved.

And we now know what role Rory McCann will play, that ofBuyeran arms manufacturer which will, among other things, equip agents Mason (Kid Cudi) and Willoughby (Ellie Taylor). Fans will appreciate the presence of Pacahacamacthe leader of the echidna tribe, and the treasure hunter’s hat worn by Knuckles.

To finish, all six episodes of Knuckles will be available from April 26 on Paramount+, at least in the United States and Canada. In France and in other territories where the service is established, it will be for the next day, April 27 (probably just a matter of hours with the time difference), while Japan would have to wait until a later date in 2024…

If you want to (re)watch the two feature films Sonic in top quality and at a lower cost, a 4K UHD Blu-ray box set is sold for €17.42 on Amazon.
