For the Belgian candidate nominated on Wednesday November 22, at the same time as Marie-Maud and the pair formed by Clara and Julien, now in turmoil, the challenge seemed insurmountable. On the one hand, the director of the Star Academy, Michael Goldman, and his singing teacher, Adeline Toniutti, criticized him for singing out of tune. And on the other, her stage expression teacher considered her too inexpressive! But how can we be both more focused on accuracy and more in letting go? As reported Tele-Leisure, on November 24, during her private lesson with Cécile Chaduteau, who had worked miracles with Lola, Héléna ended up letting her emotions speak – ending up in tears in the arms of her coach, stammering: “Pardon…” However, things seemed to be going badly.
As Cécile Chaduteau immediately noticed, at the start of her private lesson, Héléna was far from giving the full extent of her talent: “Why are you giving up? The beginning is magnificent and, suddenly, you don’t trust yourself.” The stage expression teacher of the show so appreciated by a former president then invited the apprentice singer to stop “think about the notes” to concentrate on his emotion. A technique that ended up working, even if Héléna initially cracked under the pressure, struggling to implement the advice of Laure Ballon’s replacement. “You have to believe it, you have a sublime voice, and stop saying ‘I sing out of tune’, that’s not the problem”insisted his teacher.

A shocking moment
At that moment, Héléna could have given up. But for the one who was really grateful to Cécile Chaduteau for offering her a private lesson for “unblock the emotions that block it”, it was out of the question not to give everything. Courageously, the young girl once again threw herself into performing Christina Aguilera’s sublime but difficult song, focusing on her teacher’s instructions. And suddenly, the magic worked. Freed from her doubts, inhabited by her song, Héléna finally let her emotions express themselves, before collapsing into tears in the arms of Cécile Chaduteau. “You’re going to make me cry […]it’s magnificent, that’s it, it vibrates everywhere”, concluded the stage expression teacherherself very moved, who definitely deserves her (big) salary.
