Will he be the future Ballon d’Or? A Bolivian mother living in Chile gave birth on January 1 to her baby named “Griezmann Mbappé”, like the two stars of French football. Atacama health services have greeted the very first birth of 2022 at Copiapo hospital on Twitter.
“We warmly greet Griezmann Mbappé, the first baby born at Copiapó hospital in 2022. A big hug for him and his mother Teodora for the arrival of his son who was born this Saturday at 9:09 pm, he weighs 3kg064 and measures 50 cm ”, they congratulated.
First name attempted in Corrèze
Nothing however seems to link Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappé in Chile. The parents, two Bolivians living in Chile and football fans, simply decided to name their son to pay tribute to the two French world champions. The dad chose to highlight the Atlético de Madrid player and the mom that of PSG.
In November 2018 in Brive-la-Gaillarde in Corrèze, a couple had also named their son “Griezmann Mbappé”, after the coronation of the Blues at the World Cup. But in March 2019, French justice had banned parents from calling their child like that, justifying a “nature to harm the child”. The boy is called today “Dany Noé”.
