It’s a strange story, to say the least, worthy of a thriller. Since November 23, two parents have disappeared leaving their 13-year-old daughter alone at their home. The family lives in Ségur-les-Villas, in Cantal. It all started on November 17 when the father named Yvon, aged 51, left the family home after an argument with his wife. His wife will report his disappearance three days after his departure. According to information from our colleagues at Le Parisien, the man left behind the wheel of his white truck. The vehicle will be found ten days later by investigators, in the neighboring town of Vernols. But the mystery does not end there. Six days after the disappearance of the father, it is the mother, Jennifer, 36, who also disappears. It is therefore on November 23 that their teenager finds herself alone. The Aurillac prosecutor’s office is still studying all avenues, in particular the thesis of possible suicides… and even of a voluntary disappearance of the parents. This last theory would hardly surprise the inhabitants of Ségur-les-Villas.
An abandonment ?
The couple would apparently have a bad reputation in this small village of Cantal populated by 200 people. Here everyone knew them. A resident has indeed slipped to the Parisian that ” they are not good people “, And that they” behaved badly “. The mayor of the town, Gilles Amat, also confirmed that the two parents would have had ” worries “. A complaint filed
Those who are now nicknamed the “disappeared from Cantal” are also suspected of having attacked holidaymakers in their second home, located not far from Ségur-les-Villas. A complaint was even reportedly filed against Yvon and Jennifer. In any case, the investigators relayed a call for witnesses to try to find the couple. Their daughter was placed in a children’s home.
