Paris A Chanel store robbed near Place Vendôme


Four helmeted and masked individuals, at least one of whom was carrying an assault rifle, robbed a Chanel luxury watch and jewelry store this Thursday afternoon, near Place Vendôme, in the heart of Paris.

The four individuals fled with a scooter and a motorcycle. A police source said there were no injuries.

The robbery was filmed by a user who shared his video on social networks. We clearly see four people dressed in black, helmeted and hooded. Three come out of the shop, while the fourth on his motorbike has an assault rifle slung over his shoulder. Two leave on a scooter, the other two on the motorbike. Both gears are black in color.

Loot amount unknown

The luxury boutique is located rue de la Paix, not far from Place Vendôme, known for its renowned jewelers.
Shortly after the events, rue de la Paix was sealed off with a security cordon and police personnel were dispatched in front of the shop, the metal shutter of which was down.

The amount of the damage is not known at this time. The Paris prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into the armed robbery chief, according to BFM TV.
