Paris close: the CAC40 rises again by almost 1%

Investor optimism remained strong this Friday and benefited the Paris stock exchange with a CAC40 up 0.96% at the close, returning to 7,378 points after having crossed the 7,400 point mark during the session. No significant decline was to be reported among CAC40 values ​​and luxury was among the strongest increases against a backdrop of improvement in certain Chinese economic indicators.
Investors heard what they wanted to hear yesterday from the ECB, namely that the monetary authority does not seem to plan to increase its rates further… It raised Thursday for the tenth time in a row the rent of money in the face of persistent inflationary pressures, bringing the deposit rate to 4%, but signaled that this cycle of monetary tightening, the most aggressive since the creation of the institution, was “probably coming to an end”. If the rate hike is now behind us, then this would be the best scenario we could expect…
In the meantime, the euro fell to $1.0670 and oil continued to rise to $93.70 per Brent.
