The Hamburg Higher Regional Court has approved the model declaratory action brought by the Federation of German Consumer Organizations (vzbv) against the Parship dating platform. Those affected can now register free of charge in the register of complaints at the Federal Office of Justice, the vzbv announced in a press release.

With the lawsuit, the vzbv wants to obtain the right to terminate the contracts without notice and to take action against the automatic renewal of the subscriptions. If the lawsuit is successful, you may be entitled to a refund. In addition, according to vzbv, the claims do not become statute-barred with the entry during the procedure.
