In his first book “Ageing Happy, It’s Possible”, published last September, Doctor François Sarkozy gives the keys to living better and longer. In the show Pascal Praud and you, the specialist emphasizes food and physical exercise. “A sedentary lifestyle and junk food are the two evils of the 21st century. Now we can understand how it works,” he assures Europe 1. According to him, we have known for a long time that 20% of the genome is used to code large DNA molecules, proteins and enzymes, which will make our body function. “On the other hand, 80% we didn’t really know what it was for,” notes the doctor.

But today, specialists have realized that this corresponds to the epigenome. “This epigenome is impacted by our behavior and our lifestyle. So, daily physical exercise is a key point,” assures François Sarkozy.
