Pascale Clark sour: she tackles the new version of En aside

14 years after the end of En aside, Canal + decided to relaunch the show last September. Pascal Clark, the former essential voice of the program, did not mince his words about the new version.

Canal + viewers most likely remember En aparté, the channel’s cult program broadcast between 2001 and 2007. Remember: a famous guest was interviewed behind closed doors, in an apartment decorated according to his profile. During this meeting, there was no physical host. Only the voice of Pascale Clark, guiding her guest through the interview, echoed in the studio. An intimate concept that Canal + wanted to relaunch by organizing the return of En aparté last September. But, to everyone’s surprise, it is not Pascale Clark who took over the role of “the voice” but the journalist Nathalie Lévy. A rather surprising choice, given that Pascale Clark was there for a lot in the success of the program. But maybe it’s the journalist who didn’t want to come back? It seems that the decision comes from elsewhere, according to Pascale Clark. Indeed, the latter ensures not to have received the slightest call from Canal + about the return of the show. “They have the rights, they can relaunch En aparté. But they could be polite“, she confided during an interview with M Le Mag. Anyway, the journalist does not seem convinced by the new version.”It’s ugly. To the eye, it’s ugly, it’s poorly lit “, she declared in the columns of Télé Loisirs before adding: “I only watched it for a minute, but from what I hear here and there, it’s not a success.

Pascale Clark: the voice of Revu on France 5

If the journalist no longer gives voice for En aparté, she now lends it to the Revu program during which a guest, seated alone in a setting, views a zapping of the news, before commenting on the images. An interesting program but which struggles to take off because of the sometimes indigestible nature of the burst of images, or the reluctance of certain artists to express themselves.
