patch 1.12 is here and it fixes an annoying bug

The bad buzz subsided, Polyphony Digital can focus on other bugs in Gran Turismo 7. The developer released a new update for the game this morning.

Gran Turismo 7 patch 1.12 has quietly rolled out to PS5 and PS4 consoles. No revolution on the horizon like last week but some welcome fixes.

New Gran Turismo 7 Update

The recovery operation continues. A week ago, Polyphony Digital tried to make up for its mistakes with a redemption patch. If you’ve lived in a basement and missed out on the controversy, a little reminder. The release of Gran Turismo 7 was marred by the introduction of a system requiring players to grind to be able to buy new cars. A mechanism clearly thought out to push budding pilots towards microtransactions which has not been to everyone’s taste.

The game’s popularity rating was at an all-time low, but the developer finally got it right. And now that the scandal is fading, Polyphony Digital can finally tackle some other issues with patch 1.12. The update deployed this morning is less generous than its big sister and goes straight to the point. It focuses on a few fixes here and there. Good news, the invitation bug has finally been fixed and they will finally stop expiring prematurely. Rest assured, others updates of Gran Turismo 7 are expected soon to continue to improve it and enhance it with content. In the meantime, we will have to settle for small improvements.
