Patrice Pichet’s group holds the 75th professional fortune in France (Challenges)

At the beginning of July, the business magazine Challenges published the long-awaited ranking of the 500 greatest French professional fortunes. In particular, there are several major real estate groups, such as the property development company Pichet, founded and managed by Patrice Pichet, which occupies 75th place.

Thursday, July 7, the weekly economic magazine Challenges published the ranking of the 500 professional fortunes of France. And the least we can say is that the national economy is doing well. The sum of all the fortunes of this 2022 edition indeed reaches 1,002 billion euros, or 5% more than in 2021, a record.

Almost all business sectors are showing good economic momentum. The heritage sector, greatly affected by the Covid crisis, has rebounded. Paradoxically, he even knew how to take advantage of the health context. “There has been renewed interest in real assets, such as real estate or infrastructure, which offer returns that protect against inflation,” said Vincent Manuel, investment director at Indosuez Wealth Management.

Consequently, there are many real estate groups well positioned in the ranking. Xavier Niel leads the way. With a professional fortune estimated at 10.7 billion euros, his Iliad group ranks 12th. Then come Charles Ruggieri and his family (40th – 3 billion euros), the owner of Ogic Norbert Dentressangle (66th – 1.7 billion euros), or the family of Éric Duval, from the Duval group (75th – €1.5 billion).

At this same place in the ranking is Patrice Pichet, boss of the real estate development group Pichet, whose professional fortune reaches 1.5 billion euros. In the space of 34 years, this Bordeaux entrepreneur has made the company the leading family real estate group in France. A success that lies in the fact that the CEO and his teams offer their customers quality, innovative, eco-responsible accommodation, all at controlled prices.

A know-how made possible since the Pichet group is an integrated promoter. Thus it intervenes in all areas of real estate: promotion, rental, investment design, development, project management. Patrice Pichet is also present in property administration, hotel operations (3,900 rooms in 2021, 6,000 by 2024), management of heritage assets and vineyards (Château les Carmes Haut-Brion in particular) .

The Pichet group now generates 1.5 billion euros in business volume, and employs more than 1,400 people. Note that Patrice Pichet has moved up two places in the Challenges 2021 ranking, increasing his professional fortune by 200 million euros.
