Patrick Ewing: NBA star because of Covid-19 in isolation

Former basketball superstar Patrick Ewing (57) suffers from Covid-19. The current coach gave that in a tweet on his official Twitter page known. "I wanted to tell you that I tested positive for Covid-19," writes the former Knicks player, "the virus is serious and shouldn't be taken lightly." He wanted to encourage everyone to stay safe and take care of his loved ones.

He also thanked all employees in the health system: "Everything will be fine and we will get through here." In addition, he shared an official statement about his illness with his current employer Georgetown Athletics. It said that Ewing was in the isolation ward of a hospital near Washington. He was the only one in the entire basketball team that tested positive for the corona virus.
