There are numerous documentaries about Paul McCartney and the Beatles. “McCartney 3,2,1” is supposed to offer a fresh approach.

The US streaming service Hulu is releasing a new documentary series about Paul McCartney (78). As the industry journal “Variety” writes, the six-part series “McCartney 3,2,1” celebrates its premiere on July 16th.

“Truly insightful” conversations

Although numerous documentaries about McCartney and the Beatles already exist, the series is supposed to offer a fairly fresh approach. In “McCartney 3,2,1”, producer Rick Rubin (58) talks to the British musician about his work as a solo artist and as part of the Beatles as well as about the origins of his hits.

Craig Erwich of Hulu at least advertises that fans should never have had the opportunity to hear McCartney talk in such detail about his life’s work. Watching how the two analyze the making of some of the songs is “really revealing”.
