Wrestling legend Paul Orndorff, known as “Mr. Wonderful”, died at the age of 71. This was announced by his son.

Wrestling star Paul Orndorff, who became known by his ring name “Mr. Wonderful”, has died. He was 71 years old. Orndorff’s son Travis wrote on Instagram to a picture in which he hugs his father: “It is with great sadness that I have to announce the death of my father Paul Parlette Orndorff Jr. He is better known as ‘Mr. # 1derful’ Paul Orndorff.”

“Most of you will remember his stature. Many will remember his strength,” added Travis Orndorff. But people should have seen his good soul: “As much as many of you hated him as a wrestler, he absolutely loved you for it. He was a great father who showed me more love than I ever deserved. I love you daddy. “

Orndorff joined the World Wrestling Federation, the WWE predecessor, in 1983. A year later, he was seen in a major battle for the first time. Orndorff Roddy Piper (1954-2015) joined in 1985 and met Hulk Hogan (67) and Mr. T (69). It was the main event of WrestleMania I. Then Orndorff became Hogan’s great rival.
