From now on, many brands of duck fillets sold throughout France have been recalled. And for good reason, the products are contaminated with listeria monocytogenes bacteria. As a reminder, this is a bacterium that can cause listeriosis.
Listeriosis is a serious food-borne infection. Symptoms of this disease can include fever, headaches but also body aches. It is actually a sepsis manifested by meningoencephalitis. In the most severe cases, listeriosis causes neurological complications but also abortion or premature delivery for pregnant women. It is therefore necessary to be very careful. If you have purchased contaminated products, don’t eat them at all.

This Thursday, July 13, the consumption reminder site published several alerts on many brands marketing duck fillets. The affected products are:
- Aiguilettes of duck of the mark U (230 grams), to be consumed before 07/13/2023,
- Brand duck fillet Poultry from our regions, to be consumed before 07/12/2023,
- Brand duck fillet Gallic, to be consumed between 07/14/2023 and 07/15/2023,
- Brand duck fillet Poultry stall, to be consumed before 07/12/2023,
- Aiguilettes of duck of the mark Poultry stall, to be consumed before 07/17/2023,
- Brand duck fillet Casinoto be consumed before 07/14/2023.
If you wish, you can get a refund for these products. The product recall procedure will end on July 28 next. If you have consumed any of these products, consult your doctor immediately.
