PayFit, first French unicorn of the year after raising 254 million euros


BRIEF // Thanks to a new round of a quarter of a billion euros, PayFit, which currently has 700 employees, plans to recruit 400 additional people in 2022. This is the 23rd French unicorn.

After a historic 2021 year marked by mega-fundraising and the arrival of new unicorns, French Tech is starting 2022 on the right foot. It was not until the sixth day to see another tricolor start-up join the circle of unicorns, these young technological companies valued at least 1 billion dollars. The first French unicorn of the year is therefore PayFit, a start-up specializing in human resources management and payroll automation.

The company headed by Firmin Zocchetto has indeed announced a funding round of 254 million euros. The operation led by the American fund General Atlantic brings the valuation of the company to 1.82 billion euros. This is the 23rd French unicorn. Thanks to this new funding, PayFit, which currently has 700 employees, plans to recruit 400 additional people in 2022. The company claims 6000 client companies such as Alan, Heetch and Le Slip Français, in four European countries (France, Germany, United Kingdom and Spain).
