Several Dominican priests in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) are suspected of sexual assaults on minors. Thus, the order launched an appeal to identify the victims, this Thursday, May 5.
“Dominican friars from the Province of Toulouse have been accused of serious acts of a sexual nature against minors, facts which have unfortunately been confirmed”, can we read in a press release published yesterday by the Prior of the Order of Dominicans from the province of Toulouse, Brother Olivier of Saint-Martin. The latter adds that “we cannot say that we want to make reparations with the victims if we limit ourselves to the victims we know.”
It is for this reason that he decided to launch an appeal to the victims. Because “today has come the time for reparation,” explains Brother Olivier de Saint-Martin. This decision falls within the framework of the Independent Commission on Sexual Abuse in the Church (CIASE).
Thus, this appeal is addressed today to all those who have frequented the convents of the Province, throughout France. Namely: Bordeaux, Toulouse, Montpellier, Marseille, La Sainte Baume and Nice, or even Note-Dame de Boscodon, Fanjeaux and Sylvanès.

The Commission for Recognition and Reparation was created after the publication of the Sauvé report. Moreover, the Commission, co-author of this press release from the Dominicans, has indicated that it is at the disposal of victims and witnesses.
