Series favorite Pedro Pascal surprised everyone with an arm sling on the red carpet at the Golden Globes. That’s what lies behind it.

An arm sling as a fashion accessory? Pedro Pascal (48) made a virtue out of necessity and surprised on the red carpet at the Golden Globes with a perfectly coordinated outfit. The serial high-flyer wore black pleated trousers and a black shirt with a white pattern to match his black arm sling. Black low shoes and striking glasses with thick black rims completed the look.

“It can happen to anyone”

In a good mood and with a grin on his face, he posed for the photographers on the sidelines of the award ceremony and also revealed why he currently has to rest his arm. He was injured in a fall. “Be careful. It can happen to anyone,” he is quoted as saying by US media.

Pascal was known for his role in the hit series “The Last of Us.” Golden Globe nominee, but had to admit defeat to Kieran Culkin (41, “Succession”). His series colleague Bella Ramsey (20), who was also nominated, lost out to Sarah Snook (36, “Succession”). And in the important category “Best Drama Series” there was no getting past the winner of the evening “Succession” for “The Last of Us”.

Three Emmy nominations

It could soon rain TV Oscars for Pascal. Because at the Emmys 2023, the series favorite was nominated three times. Once again he is in the running for Best Actor in a Drama Series for his acting performance in the acclaimed video game adaptation “The Last of Us.” He was also nominated for his guest appearance on the US show “Saturday Night Live” and as a narrator. He lent his voice to the CNN documentary series “Patagonia: Life on the Edge of the World.”

From February 12th, Pascal will be back in front of the camera as Joel for the second season of “The Last of US”, as was recently confirmed. However, the new episodes will probably not be expected until 2025. The elaborately produced first season required 200 days of filming. If you add post-production to that, a start in 2024 seems out of the question. So that means a long wait for fans.
