Pensioner injured – dog bit cyclist (66) in the thigh

A pensioner from Mühlviertel made a painful encounter with a bloody outcome on Friday in Pregarten. As she rode her bike past a dog, it suddenly snapped and bit her thigh.

The 66-year-old woman was on her bike on Friday at 2:20 p.m. in the Pregarten municipality. On a dirt road, the local amateur athlete met a 73-year-old from Hagenberg, who was leading a seven-year-old golden retriever on a leash. The injured person was taken to the hospital. When the cyclist drove past the dog, it suddenly bit her in the right thigh. The woman suffered injuries of an unspecified degree and was admitted to the Kepler University Hospital in Linz.
