Electricians carried out a power outage on Tuesday which affected a large area of Issy-les-Moulineaux (Hauts-de-Seine) for two hours, which notably houses media headquarters and digital companies, in order to challenge the law. pension reform adopted this spring.
The headquarters of Orange, Microsoft France and the France Médias Monde group, which notably includes radio RFI and the news channel France 24, confirmed to AFP that they were affected by this cut made around 10 a.m., in particular from a post -source Enedis, where several dozen electricians gathered in the early morning.
“Voluntary cuts were observed this morning on a source station in Issy-les-Moulineaux affecting several thousand customers who gradually regained electricity around noon”, indicated the management of Enedis to AFP, announcing that she was going to file a complaint, as she always does.
Previously, the headquarters of Orange, deprived of electricity, was evacuated and many employees returned home to telecommute, management told AFP.
“Part of the headquarters of France Médias Monde is affected by the cut and is currently powered by generators pending a return to normal,” the group told AFP, adding that it there had been no effect on the broadcasting of the programmes.
“Like several other companies, our campus was affected by a power outage. Power is now restored, but we have encouraged our employees to work from home for the rest of the day,” said management. from Microsoft France.
Other corporate headquarters were affected, such as that of Bouygues Immobilier, as well as the Post Office and Sanef buildings, which were evacuated, AFP noted.
“The idea is to make the government understand that we are against this reform project and that we are trying to be heard,” Frédéric Probel, general secretary of the Energie Bagneux union, told journalists.
“Our mission is to distribute gas and electricity H24, if we are not there, there is none,” he added, repeating that he, like his colleagues, did not want ” not suffer from this law”: “we don’t want to leave at 64 and we have to leave our special scheme”.
