A debate “which did not go to the end” that “everyone can regret”. If it still creates so much controversy, it is because it could not be covered in depth in Parliament.
“Making Mayhem”
In any case, this is what the former Minister of Labor observes between the lines. He criticizes an Assembly that is too unbalanced. “It is unbalanced, there are plenty of extremists whose goal is basically to create chaos, chaos. They want to change society and have the right to want it, but that greatly complicates the work of the National Assembly, without clarifying them”, says Éric Woerth.
“We are not going to say that those who are throwing smoke are those who are asking for clarification of the debate, we must not reverse the roles”, he adds.
Acceleration procedures of the majority “were welcome”
However, the presidential majority did everything to speed up the debates around the text, with the use of 44.1 and 49.3 in particular. A reality that Éric Woerth does not deny. “These procedures were welcome because this type of debate must be framed otherwise it can last three years”, defends the deputy.
“The debate lasted longer than when I was Minister of Labor at the time of the 2010 reform, without the same procedures. There is no abuse of the executive”, adds- he.
