- The Pentecost traffic to the south already led to a longer traffic jam on the north side in front of the Gotthard tunnel during the night on Saturday.

The loss of time was at times one and a half hours during the night, as the Touring Club Switzerland (TCS) traffic service announced on Twitter. According to the Viasuisse traffic service, by midnight the length of the traffic jam was around 5 kilometers and the waiting time was around one hour and 15 minutes.
At dawn, the waiting time shortened to around 20 minutes at times and increased again after 4 a.m. on Saturday morning. The waiting time is currently more than two hours, as announced by TCS and Viasuisse.
As early as Easter in April, there was a 22-kilometer-long line of metal in front of the Gotthard north portal in Göschenen in the canton of Uri. According to Viasuisse, the loss of time in April was at times more than three and a half hours. Even on the night from Maundy Thursday to Good Friday, the traffic jam length had never dropped below eight kilometers.
